I learned several skills from assignment number five. I learned how to hyperlink powerpoint slides to other slides. I also learned how to turn off the manual forward and back buttons to my slides and add my own buttons. I liked that I had full creativity on the assignment. I could make my choose your own adventure story be whatever I wanted it to be. What I didn't like was that the assignment was due right after spring break. I know that we have a lot of things that we need to do in a short period of time, but I did not want to work over spring break so I had a lot to do in just a few short days.      I will use data collection and survey tools a lot as a teacher for elementary aged kids with special needs. I will need to know what my students like and don't like about the class. I will also use survey tools and data connection for the parents of the students in my class. I wil...

My experience in EME2040 so far has been great! I was in an in person section. I liked that my professor was always there to help. No question was a silly question and she ensured understanding on every topic. I did not really dislike anything about being in this classroom. It is one of the classes that I really enjoy. Something I can do to help improve this classroom experience is make sure that I am actively participating and not just sitting distracted.      Open Educational Resources are materials for teaching and learning that are either in the public domain or have been released under a license that allows them to be freely used, changed, or shared with others. This website gives a really great definition of Open Educational Resources (which is shared above). It also has a video explanation of OER's, and explains some background information about these resources. It is a great website to refer to....

I learned a lot of new skills though working on the website assignment. I learned how to link a page to another page, add videos, and add hyperlinks. I also learned how to make a website in general, I had done it once before but I was not good at it at all. I liked the creativity of the assignment and that I was able to use wix instead of weekly because I was much more comfortable with wix. What I did not like was the time commitment, I spent several hours on it in hopes of receiving a high pass. What I learned in this assignment can be used in my future career because I can make a website for my classroom when I become a teacher.  https://cohengirlssamantha.wixsite.com/mysite     I have learned many things while working with Diigo. I have learned to make sure that credibility is established. I have also learned how to annotate effectively, and how to bo...

There was a lot of information on the teacher page that I found. There was contact information. There was also a button you could click to get to know information about the teacher. Additionally, there was a class wishlist, and a daily schedule. There was also class information, frequently asked questions, and the teachers lesson plans. It was very interactive, and super easy to read and navigate.  https://earhart.goddardusd.com/49583_3     I envision myself using technology in my classroom a ton. There are many tools that I will use. For instance, if a student is absent I will make sure I use zoom so they do not miss out on the information that is provided that day. I will also use software like powerpoint and Microsoft Word to get my lessons to my students. Some specific teacher productivity tools that I will use are grammarly to make sure that I appear credible, and google drive to make sure that...

My initial experiences with Diigo were pretty good. I really enjoyed the platform itself and it was pretty easy to use once I got the hang of it. I like the book marking feature in Diigo. What I don't like is that you have to go through another website. For instance, if fsu libraries was linked to Diigo that would be a lot more convenient.      I really enjoyed blogging so far. It is a good way to express my feelings towards what we have been learning at that time in class. I like that I can express my feelings and my other classmates can read my thoughts if they so desire. What I don't really like is all the restraints and lack of creativity. During the blogging process I have learned that it is good to write out how you're feeling. It is a good gage of how successful you are in the class, and what you need to improve on to succeed even further.      An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I will likely use...

I have really not had a lot of twitter experience prior to this class. I had to create a twitter account when I held a position in my theatre magnet in High School but that was about it. I would interact with other classmates and teachers. I have found twitter very beneficial because I have been able to find people who share the same passion for teaching as I do. Twitter could be helpful in my future career because if I have a question about a lesson I could consult some of my colleagues via the app.      The digital divide affects student success in schools greatly. For instance, if there is an online assignment for a class but a student does not have access to the internet the student is set up to fail. Some of the causes of the digital divide are poverty and lack of funding in underprivileged schools. I might experience the digital divide as a teacher if a student ...

I have chosen kindergarten. The standard explains that kids will be able to explore many different digital tools with the help of an adult. Some of these programs include paint apps, smart boards. and promethean boards. I do not feel prepared to implement this standard based on my skill set thus far. This is because I am only about a third of the way into this course so I have not quite mastered my digital skills at this time.      I have chosen a kindergarten theatre standard. The standard explains sharing reactions to a live theatre performance. I would use this in my classroom because I come from a theatre background so it is very important for me to keep music and performance in my students lives. So, I will make sure that after watching a performance or some kind of show my students will be able to identify how it made them feel weather that be expressed verbally or non-verbally.     It is important to be a proficient internet...
