Blog Journal #4

     I have chosen kindergarten. The standard explains that kids will be able to explore many different digital tools with the help of an adult. Some of these programs include paint apps, smart boards. and promethean boards. I do not feel prepared to implement this standard based on my skill set thus far. This is because I am only about a third of the way into this course so I have not quite mastered my digital skills at this time. 

    I have chosen a kindergarten theatre standard. The standard explains sharing reactions to a live theatre performance. I would use this in my classroom because I come from a theatre background so it is very important for me to keep music and performance in my students lives. So, I will make sure that after watching a performance or some kind of show my students will be able to identify how it made them feel weather that be expressed verbally or non-verbally.

    It is important to be a proficient internet searcher as a teacher because teachers are not perfect. They do not have knowledge of every topic that they will have to teach so they need to be able to quickly look up the necessary information. I think the internet skill that I will use the most is a google search snippet. I can use this when a student has a question that I do not know the answer to and quickly find the information necessary to answer the question. No I do not use an internet searching skill that was not introduced this week.

Blog Journal #8

          I learned a lot of new skills though working on the website assignment. I learned how to link a page to another page, add videos, and add hyperlinks. I also learned how to make a website in general, I had done it once before but I was not good at it at all. I liked the creativity of the assignment and that I was able to use wix instead of weekly because I was much more comfortable with wix. What I did not like was the time commitment, I spent several hours on it in hopes of receiving a high pass. Blog Journal #10

      I learned several skills from assignment number five. I learned how to hyperlink powerpoint slides to other slides. I also learned how to turn off the manual forward and back buttons to my slides and add my own buttons. I liked that I had full creativity on the assignment. I could make my choose your own adventure story be whatever I wanted it to be. What I didn't like was that the assignment was due right after spring break. I know that we have a lot of things that we need to do in a short period of time, but I did not want to work over spring break so I had a lot to do in just a few short days.      I will use data collection and survey tools a lot as a teacher for elementary aged kids with special needs.
