Blog Journal #9
My experience in EME2040 so far has been great! I was in an in person section. I liked that my professor was always there to help. No question was a silly question and she ensured understanding on every topic. I did not really dislike anything about being in this classroom. It is one of the classes that I really enjoy. Something I can do to help improve this classroom experience is make sure that I am actively participating and not just sitting distracted.
Open Educational Resources are materials for teaching and learning that are either in the public domain or have been released under a license that allows them to be freely used, changed, or shared with others. This website gives a really great definition of Open Educational Resources (which is shared above). It also has a video explanation of OER's, and explains some background information about these resources. It is a great website to refer to. https://www.edweek.org/teaching-learning/open-educational-resources-oer-overview-and-definition/2017/04
I learned a lot of new skills from assignment number four. I learned how to use different layouts. I also learned how to change the backgrounds and add narration to a slide show presentation. What I liked about the project was there was a lot of creativity. We were able to do a presentation on whatever topic we wanted. What I didn't like about it was there were a lot of very specific criteria so if you missed even one thing you did not get a high pass. Luckily I got a high pass but it would have been upsetting to work that hard and receive a pass or a fail.
