Copyright protects original works from being stolen or used without permission. It protects the hard work of various authors, songwriters, etc. Fair use is something that legally promotes freedom of works that are not copyrighted works in certain circumstances. As a teacher I would deal with these topics very carefully, and ensure that my students understand the severity of using something that is copyrighted. I would develop my instruction materials by taking inspiration from works but paraphrasing them and making sure that I am not breaking any copyright laws. I would do the same with my students creating their own works. There are several technology implementation issues. The two that I would like to touch on are cyberbullying and academic dishonesty.
